MACY’S BRAND EXPERIENCE

Maintaining sustainable asset library
through constant communication

Role: Product Designer / Responsibilities: Brand Guidelines, Asset Library, Template Design

Overview

Macy’s brand experience team manages design projects that maintain the consistency both internally and externally. I took a holistic approach that holds every channel in a cohesive and unique way. These projects include, sitelets, asset libraries, style guidelines, XD templates for the Macys.com homepage and email banners.

Macy’s Icon Library

The Macy’s Icon Library project was aimed to establish simple and intuitive sets of icons used in conjunction with Macy’s design language. In coordination with the branding team, I worked on icon guidelines (part of the Brand Identity Guide) and created additional icon artwork per the needs of multiple departments across the company.

Macy’s Homepage and Email Design System

My team and I were responsible for designing and subsequently templatizing digital assets for the Macys.com homepage as well as the email layouts for use by over 50 marketing designers. We selected the most suitable typography, sizes, and layouts that were accessible to all customers across any kind of digital device.
